MY LIFE AS AN ACTOR/WRITER/PRODUCER

If you happen to be looking for a former leading lady who is now a brilliant character actress - look no further. I have played every role, both comedic and dramatic, that a Caucasian female can play - except a Nun.  No one ever booked me as a Nun.

Comedy is my forte.  I'm Somewhere between Kristen Wigg and Betty White. I've done stand-up at the Improv,  and improv with the Groundlings. I starred in, "Shepards Flock" with Kenny Mars and had recurring roles on The Bob Newhart Show, Taxi, and guest starred on every other show MTM produced.

Recurring dramatic roles were on Passions, Bah Bah Blacksheep and Barnaby Jones.  I've played murderers, psychotics,  cancer patients, etc.

Acting is a joy for me and I'm grateful that I was given this gift. I worked consistently in Television, Film, Theatre on the West End in London and on Broadway.   Commercials, and voiceovers.  Things started slowing

down when I hit 43.  That's when I began writing and I fell in love with it.

I admit it.  I'm a compulsive writer.  I can't help it. I have to write every day or I get cranky.  The other thing that you should know about me is - I'm a workaholic. I own my own business and my boss is a slave driver.

I've just finished a woman's empowerment feature.  It's a dramedy about betrayal, gaining power and finding joy.

At times heartbreaking,  at times hilarious, always

entertaining, right up to the cliffhanger ending.

When it's released it will probably be one of the first uplifting empowerment films that make people walk out of the theatre feeling great!

My first critique was, "Congratulations. It's great to see a woman score!"

Julie Ansell - Director of Development - Gracie Films

I also enjoy getting paid. If you happen to be a star who wants something written for you -- I'm very familiar with the "Work for Hire" agreement and I'd be most happy to "work for hire" for you.

What else can I tell you about me?  I can tell you the best compliment I have ever been given.  "Jill, you are the only person I have ever known who doesn't have a vindictive bone in her body." - Leonard Stern

I can also tell you, I will never stop working. When I am ninety-three I am going to publish my memoirs, "I'll Never Wear Granny Panties".

As of today, I'm coming out of ten years of being an indie filmmaker and moving into the 20 to 30 MM range so I'm seeking representation as an actor/writer/producer.

Cheers!
